There are many online resources for the Geosoft packages, such as:
- Oasis Montaj Tutorials (You can also create a Geosoft account for free to access some video tutorials)
- Exercises from a magnetic and gravity data processing textbook, using a watered down version of Oasis, which however appears to be available for free download
- "Textbook Edition" of Montaj available for free download at the link above. Requires registration at geosoft.com
- License expires one year after time of first installation (*may* be renewable)
- Limitations:
- Can only create databases of < 300 rows
- Cannot export database contents
- Can only import ASCII files, not Excel
- Otherwise, it's very useful and can do most processing including Gridding and Up/Down/Differential filtering
- Tutorial, providing a step by step description of, in particular, magnetic data analysis, from the same textbook above
